HEINKEL HE-162 SALAMANDER This design is again one of my very early efforts. I drew this about 5-6 years ago. I'm releasing it now because afterall, how long can I leave it locked up in the "vault".
The original intent was to use a Mini-fan 480 and various nicads of suitable power. Now with the advent of Lipo battery technology and brushless motors, this model could be equiped with much lighter equipment. I have the Vasa 55 drawn in now as that unit should provide all the power needed. This is a lightly constructed model but not fragile.
The wingspan is 38 inch and 217 square inch wingarea. Fuselage length is 28 inch. I framed up the model but never did finish it. I can see no reason why it should not be a great flyer.
Plans are drawn full-size in Cad with all details neccesary to complete the model.
